You have a period of 45 days from the receipt of the product to return it. (If you are a consumer within the meaning of applicable law, this period includes the legal time frame for exercising your right of withdrawal in online purchases.)
Exercise of the right of withdrawal
You may exercise your right of withdrawal within the applicable legal period by making an unequivocal statement through:
- The withdrawal form available on our website, accessible through your customer account or via the following link: https://kateurope.com/sales/guest/form
- Email to returns@kateurope.com, by completing and attaching the "Return_form_KatEurope-EN"
Submitting the form or sending an email constitutes a valid notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal within the applicable legal period.
Receipt of such notification will be confirmed by Kat Europe via an acknowledgment on a durable medium.
Order cancellation
Kat Europe processes orders immediately in order to ship them on the same working day. Due to this fast logistics process, it is not always possible to stop shipment once an order has been prepared.
If the order has already been dispatched, any cancellation request will be treated as an exercise of the right of withdrawal once the product has been delivered, in accordance with applicable law.
In any case, you may notify your intention to withdraw at any time within the legal period.
Product return conditions
Returns will be accepted if:
- The product has not been used.
- The product is in perfect condition.
- The product is returned properly packaged, preferably in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, labels and any other components, all of them also unused and in their original packaging where applicable.
- All required documentation is provided within 45 days from receipt of the returned product.
This documentation may include, among others:
- Order number or purchase invoice
- Properly completed returns form
- Photograph of the vehicle data sheet for which the product was purchased
- Any additional information required for logistical processing
Return procedure
Once a withdrawal or return request has been received, Kat Europe may request additional information solely for logistical processing purposes.
After validation of the request, Kat Europe will provide the necessary steps for returning the product and will arrange, where applicable, collection from the address provided by the customer.
The customer must keep and store the product in appropriate condition while it remains in their possession.
Return costs
Return costs amounting to €19.00 will be borne by the customer and deducted from the refund, except in the following cases:
- A defective product where the defect has been approved under Kat Europe’s warranty. Please note that defects caused by misuse, negligence, accidental damage, handling, incorrect installation or normal wear and tear are not considered manufacturing defects.
- A logistical error attributable to Kat Europe (incorrect item shipped or product damaged during transport).
In the case of exercising the right of withdrawal, the consumer shall bear the direct cost of returning the product, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Additional costs may also be borne by the customer in the following cases:
- Incompatibility of the product with the vehicle, as it is the customer’s responsibility to verify compatibility and vehicle specifications before placing the order.
- Failure to deliver or unsuccessful delivery due to reasons attributable to the customer, including incorrect or incomplete address, absence of the recipient, failure to accept delivery, or failure to collect the order within the carrier’s deadline.
Delivery times and termination of the contract
Delivery times are estimates only. In case of delay, the customer shall not be entitled to compensation.
The maximum delivery time is thirty (30) days from order confirmation.
If this period is exceeded without delivery, the customer may terminate the contract by email, WhatsApp, or via the online support section of the website.
If the product has already been dispatched, Kat Europe will cover the return costs where the contract termination is due to failure to meet the delivery deadline.
Refunds
Once the product is received at our warehouse, Kat Europe will inspect it and issue a refund via the same payment method used for the purchase, within a maximum of 15 days from receipt.
The refund may be reduced where the product shows a loss of value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
The refund may also be refused or adjusted if the right of withdrawal was not exercised within the legal period or if the return does not comply with the conditions set out in this policy.
Any costs legally chargeable to the consumer, including return costs where applicable, may be deducted from the refund.
Kat Europe does not accept cash-on-delivery returns or returns via unauthorized carriers. Before initiating any return, the customer must contact our customer service team.
